We make a living by what we get.

We make a life by what we give”

- Winston Churchill

In the busyness that is the beginning of a new school year, one thing is clear- schools need money. Being a parent, you’ve probably figured this out already by the letters home about fundraisers for your child’s school.  Please don’t discard them. The fact is, school’s need funding now more than ever. Buying tickets to a school carnival, attending a spaghetti supper or purchasing items from a gift catalog is actually important. Yes, your child will win that coveted prize if she can get to a certain level of items, but more importantly her school will gain funds for important educational services and activities. When deciding whether or not you will allow your child to participate in the school fundraiser, keep in mind Churchill’s quote above.
